Party of Know? Put on your walking shoes…

…if you plan on attending the event today. It looks like the weather is going to be beautiful and that means more people will attend. Jerry has been to Beaver Dam Park and checked out the logistics — believe me, folks — if the Obama administration picked this site to prevent freedom of assembly on our part, they couldn’t have picked a better spot!

Take a look at the map on the Plans page again and try to figure out where you can park — all the surrounding neighborhood is residential or commercial, but you might get towed in the commercial parking lots! More later…

From their website

“”The current healthcare system is broken and you’re in denial if you would disagree with that position,” said conservative talk show host Jerry Bader, who acknowledges the current health care system isn’t working. But on his WTAQ show he criticizes the Obama plan to add government-run health care into the mix. And he’s organizing a demonstration during the president’s visit.

“Letting the government run it is not the answer,” said Bader.

Bader has had more than 4,000 hits on his Web site set up just this week in advance of the President’s visit. He hopes his group’s presence outside Southwest High School with signs will send its own message and weigh in on the health care debate.” Source: President Obama support and protest

As of this posting, the site has served 5,488 pagviews since Monday morning at 10 — so much traffic it brought down the server early today after a mass mailing done by Americans for Prosperity

Here are the logistics…

“Five shuttles will be provided for people parking at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay to attend President Barack Obama’s town hall-style meeting Thursday at nearby Green Bay Southwest High School.

Ticketed guests can park at two lots on the NWTC campus starting at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the Green Bay School District.

Parking lots D and E on NWTC’s Green Bay campus, 2740 W. Mason St., have been designated for shuttle service, said Casey Fryda, a college spokesman. Those lots are accessible off Country Club Road.

Shuttles will run continuously from 7:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and transport guests back to NWTC after the event is over. At least one of the shuttles will be wheelchair accessible.
People will be going through a security screening before getting on the shuttles and will not be allowed into the parking lots early. They also will have to show their tickets before boarding the bus and at Southwest High School.

Parking is limited at the high school to the north lot, which has about 375 spots, Southwest Principal Bryan Davis said. These spots will be used for disabled or elderly parking needs and will not be available until 7:30 a.m.

Attendees have been encouraged to carpool or use the shuttle service.” Source: Security for Obama visit could top $30,000 | greenbaypressgazette.com | Green Bay Press-Gazette

Logistics for the ‘We are the Party of Know’ gathering…

Starting at 8, Jerry will be at Beaver Dam Park on Hobart off of W. Point east of Packerland. About 10:15, we will proceed via W. Point to Packerland on foot and stay there until about noon. Timing is critical — we must be in place by 11:10! Please remember to be courteous, EVEN TO THOSE WHO DISAGREE WITH YOU! And please remember to respect people’s property…

The Obama administration is working hard…

…to deny the First Amendment rights of conservatives in Northeast Wisconsin by making it difficult for us to assemble. Make this website your source of information on where and when gather, as well as other details about the event — check back early and often!
