Your elected representatives…

…are dismissing you!
“Sen. Arlen Specter says critics of the Democrats’ health care proposals are not representative of the public’s view on the issue.
The Pennsylvania Democrat says people who are angry at town hall meetings don’t reflect the broader public opinion of the proposed overhaul. Specter has faced tough town hall audiences in his home state.” Source: Specter: town hall ire not reflect public opinion – WBAY-TV Green Bay-Fox Cities-Northeast Wisconsin News:
The question is, how will you respond? Isn’t it time to consider voting them out of office and electing officials who WILL respond?

Washington Times reports “Heather Blish is NOT a Republican plant and a liar”!
At last! A journalist with integrity who is willing to do a little homework! Amanda Carpenter writes in today’s Washington Times…
“Heather Blish was shocked when big-name television personalities labeled her as a Republican operative after she made an impassioned plea to her congressman to quit letting Washington intervene in the free market during a town-hall meeting.
Mrs. Blish, a graphic designer, quit volunteering for the Republican Party last year because she was so disillusioned with Republican politics.
“The Republican Party wants nothing to do with me any more than I want anything to do with them,” she told The Washington Times.
But that didn’t matter to the local NBC reporter who aired the television piece about Mrs. Blish that was picked up by left-leaning outlets far and wide as evidence of dirty politics. ” Source: Hot Button – Washington Times
Ms. Carpenter goes on to say…
“It all began with a segment by Kristoffer Engebretson, a television reporter for the local NBC affiliate, who covered Democratic Rep. Steve Kagen’s meeting in Kewaunee, Wis. The TV spot was teased by a desk anchor who warned, “There were allegations of opponents being planted in the crowd” at the town hall.
Mrs. Blish was presented as a top example of such nefarious activities. Mr. Engebretson said Mrs. Blish “introduced herself as just a mom from a few blocks away not affiliated with any political party” but that information about her on social networking sites, such as Facebook, “showed something different.”
Mr. Engebretson strongly suggested she wasn’t truthful, citing information he found on LinkedIn.com, a business networking Web site, showing she had worked as vice chairman of her county’s Republican Party and volunteered for a Republican candidate in the past.
“Again, Blish introduced herself as just a mom with no affiliation with any party,” he emphasized again in the report.
“The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC embraced the story during a show dedicated to exposing Republican operatives’ intent on disrupting town-hall meetings for political effect. “Ta-da! Journalism!” the host declared, smiling broadly, after showing the local news package. “Congratulations to Kristoffer Engebretson of that local station in Green Bay for going the extra step to find out what was behind the incivility in his town rather than just covering it like a ping-pong match.” Read the rest of this entry »
Shills in the Green Bay Town Hall? Say it ain’t so…

Did President Obama pack the audience? Warner Todd Huston says yes…
“One of Obama’s first questions from the audience wasn’t from a mere concerned citizen, but from a former Democratic Party candidate for Congress that wants a socialist, single payer system to be implemented raising the suspicion that the administration knew exactly who was going to ask questions and what they were going to ask.
This questioner can be seen in a CNN video covering the Greenbay event. The woman is identified as “Paulette Guerin” and labeled as an “attendee” of the meeting on the CNN segment. In fact CNN got the spelling of the woman’s last name wrong, it’s not Guerin, but Garin. Additionally this “attendee” is far from just the average Wisconsin citizen just out for the day to hear the president’s ideas. Paulette Garin is far more than just another one of the folks.
Garin was a recent Democrat candidate for Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District. Not only that but Garin is a proponent of a single payer plan, as Obama was when he was a Senator from Illinois. In fact, Garin says right on her webpage that Obama is a proponent of the single payer plan and she urges fellow Wisconsinites to flood Congress with calls to implement the single payer system.” Source: Dem. Why do Democrats say ‘no’ to ‘know’?

- Ted Nugent via last.fm
Rocker Ted Nugent says it better than I could ever hope to…
“In an effort to deflect criticism of their ongoing program to bankrupt the entire nation, the Democratic leadership has labeled Congressional Republicans as the “party of no.” The Democrats would have been correct had they checked their spelling. It is not “no” that defines the Congressional Republicans but rather “know.”
Let the guitar boy help the spelling-challenged Democrats understand what the bedrock of the Republican Party — conservatives — instinctively know.” Source: The Party of ‘Know,’ Not ‘No’ – HUMAN EVENTS

Naysayers? Ouch…

You really know how to hurt a guy, Mr. President! MSNBC on today’s event in Green Bay…
A dispute over Obama’s desire to create a new government-sponsored health plan to compete with private insurers is forming a major obstacle to bipartisan consensus on health reform. So the president, undertaking a new and aggressive push to see legislation enacted this year, worked sell his ideas on health reform directly to Americans.
He described his critics as naysayers.
“I know there are some who believe that reform is too expensive, but I can assure you that doing nothing will cost us far more in the coming years,” Obama said at a town-hall style meeting at a high school here. “Our deficits will be higher. Our premiums will go up. Our wages will be lower, our jobs will be fewer, and our businesses will suffer.”
The president’s warnings come as reservations have been expressed by health care providers, Congress — led by Obama’s fellow Democrats — and the public. The brief ride from the airport to a town hall-style meeting featured a rare sight for the new president: a large gathering of protesters.

Jerry Bader personally counted over 1,000 protesters and that was from our group alone. MSNBC also missed hundreds of signs and banners reading ‘The Party of Know’…

These are not your mother’s democrats…

- Image via Wikipedia
…according to the Washington Post.
“The Democratic Party’s attitude to elections is admirable: Win. And recent history has shown it will do anything to do so.
When, if not now, will Republicans develop such a fighting spirit?
Democrats invest – with taxpayer money, mind you – in groups like ACORN that, among other sordid tactics, seek out Skid Row bodies and wheel them to polling places. All the Democratic National Committee needs are vans and smelling salts. Pop culture and the “education system” have done the rest, making “D” the default choice on Election Day.
Democrats brazenly take policy positions – think government services and even amnesty for illegal immigrants – not because they are the right thing to do, but because they are time-tested demographic bribes. Forget cigarettes and beer, Democrats would distribute needles, methadone, medical marijuana and biscotti in voter goodie bags if they could get away with it.
Democrats long ago jettisoned America’s melting-pot ideal – E Pluribus Unum (“Out of Many, One”) – because it imperils their campaign for permanent rule. Splitting the country into separate identity groups and playing them against each other works a lot better. And anyone who disagrees is a racist.
Win. Win. Win. ” Source: BREITBART: Know thy enemy: This is not your mother’s Democratic Party – Washington Times
